Default 2008 Volvo S40 2.4 D5 Boost Pressure Sensor

Hi, I would really appreciate some help!

My car is showing up a fault with the Boost Pressure Sensor. I ordered a new one and left it with my mechanic but he can find where the sensor is to replace it.

I'm not sure if its the sensor thats wrong or if we arent looking in the correct place on the engine.

Here is a link to an image of the sensor i have purchased from my local autoparts Sensor Image

Have I the wrong sensor or am i just not seeing where the sensor goes on the engine.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ciaran

Hi, this sensor is located in the intercooler. You can remove the lower grille and you will see the boost sensor at left ( passenger side). please see the picture

If the fault code persists after checking replacement of the sensor you should ask yiyr mechanic to check the wiring to the connector and the pins you'd be surprised what you might find
