Hi,
I'm replacing a driver's-side mirror housing on a 2010 Volvo S40 Sedan.
Based on these YT videos, I need to remove the inner door panel to get access to the mirror connectors.
However I'm encountering a lot of resistance removing the inner door panel...feels like there's still a screw attached somewhere.
In the YT videos above that involve a 2005 s40; there were 3 Torx screws to remove.
In the pictures below, my 2010 only has 2, along with a metal cover in the third screw hole.
Does anything need to be done to this metal cover?
Does anyone have a better source (video/post) for removing the driver's side inner-door panel on the 2010 s40 model?
I'm just trying to get to the side mirror connector.
Don't know about your specific model, but what I always do to determine where the "last screw" is, is to rotate the door panel (or whatever I'm trying to remove) and see where it pivots. Look for the last screw at the center point of the rotation.
