Default 57 (2008) plate S40 shock absorbers

I'm hoping someone can help.

My S40 recently decided to destroy the rear passenger shock absorber. After calling garages for a quote (all ridiculously expensive) I bought 2 shocks and went they're not that hard to fit (famous last words)

So I got the driver's side shock changed in about 20 minutes no issues (hooray and all that) then went to replace the broken one. I then realized that the support at the top had snapped so off I trot and got one of them. So back home and the 10mm bolt out no issues then realized that there should be two moved the shock to the side.... Sheered bolt (marvelous I only have basic tools I'm not very practical) thought ok so get this broken bits out of the way more room to move....

Started to take out the 15mm bolt on bottom... Can't it's rusted so WD-40 tried again... Bolt head is rounded... So I've got two knackered bolts to get out so any ideas on that?

Secondly I don't have spare bolts like these anywhere does anybody know what sizes I'd need or better still a link to a site I can get them from because for the life of me I can't find them.

Many thanks in advance, Kärl

I had a case where the bottom bolt was actually stuck on the rubber bushing on my 00 S40. I heated it with a torch and voila. As to the rounded head, you can try bolt removal socket tool (kind of looks like a spiral inside to cut into the rounded bolt and heat to "crack" the nut (by crack I mean get the bolt red hot then spritz with water to rapidly cool so the nut and bolt expand then contract at different rates to break the rust bond). Plan b would be to use a cutting tool to take the head of the bolt then punch out the bolt with a mallet. I am assuming your model is similar to mine with a single bolt through the control arm and shock bushing.
