ABS and SWM issues related?
Morning.
I've got the usual ABS issue with my 2005 Volvo S40 1.6D, 'anti-skid' message and ABS light pops up but not till after the ABS kicks in at low speeds or sometimes when not even on the brakes.
All 4 hubs have been replaced, 2 of which were genuinely knackered, and the front sensors have been replaced. Still get the same symptoms.
I scanned the DTCs with an iCarsoft i906 and it returned a couple of faults, 1 of which was for the clock spring (squib) and the other ABS-0115 SWM signal missing. I've replaced the clock spring and that fault has gone, the other still remains.
Before I send my ABS ecu off to get re-conditioned is there any chance a faulty SWM could cause the ABS issue.
Cheers
Chris
