after market stereo

Default after market stereo

I put an after market stereo in my 2000 volvo s40 ive had it for a while and plays good, but I installed a subwoofer and amp connected every thing now the stereo wont even turn on? I checked the car fuse it was ok, check the fuse in back of radio its also ok, thought radio was burnt out or something so I tryed my friends stereo and his wont work either* I dont know what eles to do, if any one has any ideas or hints I would appreciate it alot thanks!

You need to test for power with a test light first.If you have power to the wires you are supposed to then check for ground.Make sure the power antenna/amp trigger wire is not grounded any where.

I found out what the problem was the dome (inside car) lights wasn't working so I checked the fuse under the hood next to engine and it was burnt out so I replaced it with a new one and now the lights work and the radio* so if anyone has this same problem take these notes down radio dont workcheck the fuse i guess it iterferes with the radio some how* and thanks Tech I appreciate it
