Default Alternator or Battery? Weird PRoblem

hey so guys i need some help. when i start my car it reads like 13.7-14 on my volt meter. after about 30 mins of driving it drops to about 12.7-13. i had it tested at oreillys but i drove two blocks there when it was cold and still reading high. battery and alt tested good. could it be a voltage regulator problem only when it gets hot???

any advice?

depends on the year/ model of your car but could be normal as the battery gets fullly charged and draws less current. what year is your S40?

My '05 V50 was doing this and I would get a warning message. The car had over 180K miles and the alternator was going bad. It was possibly just the regulator but with that many miles, I figured it was best to do the whole thing.

Are you having a problem? Is the car not starting or running poorly?
