anti skid service required volvo s40
When I was driving my Volvo s40 1.6 D2 2010, the "Anti-Skid service" light came on and the car went into emergency mode and lost power. I turned off the car and then turned it on again, but the light was still on and the car was in emergency mode. I put my OBD, which read the code P1264. I deleted this code and the car was running fine, but this light came on again and this code appeared.
you sure that's the only code? P1264 is a power train code (different interpretations by car model either point to the MAP or an injector cycle). Anti-skid service warnings usually point to something like a steering angle sensor / clockspring or speed sensor. See if you can rent/borrow a sensor capable of reading ABS codes.
