Service Light

Is it normal for the service light to be on after battery change?

Not really, do you have a scanner? If so plyg it in to see what code its giving you

Yeah I don't own one but I could either go to a dealer or go to a autozone for free. Nonetheless, thanx for the response.

curious I thought that if there was something wrong a message is displayed, i.e. "ABS service Required". Also, What is the service light used for, routine maintenance or a serious problem?

Mainly anything, fron small to urgent problems

Service required means regukar service! Urgent messages will said urgent and the triangle in the middle will be red.
