Default audio speakers

Front dash board speake, driver side, low volume only. Front door speaker, driver side, no sound at all.
Is this a connection issue or faulty speakers. How can I check?

Check that you haven't accidentally changed the balance.

If the balance is OK I would suspect a connection problem if the other speakers, back and front, are working OK. The front door speaker is connected piggy back to the dash speaker so I would start there.

The speaker grilles clip into place and can be prised out gently. Thatwill give you access to the top of the speaker but I think they are held in with rivets. To get to the wiring you need to remove the panel under the dash and work from there.

Actually, the rivets hold the dash cover to the supporting structure. The speakers are just held in by a small spring clip. Very easy to pry up and pop the speaker out.
