Backfire when accelerating
Hi Guys,
I have a problem when accelerating in any gear. If I'm in first gear and try take off without letting the car tick over for about 30 seconds, it starts to shake like I have kangaroo petrol in it but after a few seconds its fine again! Then if I go into second or third gear and floor the accelerator, I dont have any power for a few secs and its sounds like backfire coming from the exaust, but thenit takes off??? Any ideas? It's an S40 1999. Cheers.
