Battery drain - not alternator - ideas?
2001 Volvo S40 1.9T/110,000mi
Car is a no-start (just like battery was dead). Everything working fine until yesterday - the problem started in mall parking lot. Jumped car - worked fine. If you let the car sit for a while, you need to re-jump it to start. However, if you wait only a few moments - it will start up normal.
Replaced battery in 07/2009. I went to Autozone for a diagnostic. Battery was 12.1 (needs charge) - with car running jumped to 13.9 (which should mean alternator charging). If the car is running and I disconnect battery - the car stalls (like an alternator issue).
Any ideas? Electric issue with battery drain? Or just that pesky alternator?
TIA!
