hey I have a 2005 s40 t5, the trim on the outside of the car(under the doors) is faded gray and some 3 weird gray/white marks, that I don't know how they got there but they just showed up last month sometime.. was wondering if there was a way to brighten or make the trim black, or can you buy the trim and do you think it would be easy to take off/put new one on?

The plastic pieces are probably oxidizing just have them repainted you can either turn them grey again ( bleh! 8p) or have to painted to match the car. Easiest cheapest thing to do is just leave them on , tape off the body with painters tape and go over them with your color and a clear coat.

Or have a pro do it I had mine done for 75$ and they look ten times better now.

 

Or you can guy by McGuire plastic trim repair and it works amazing.
