My in dash cup holder in my 2000 s40 broke and wont stay in anymore. Just wondering if anybody knows how to fix it or where to get a new one.

 

I think only the dealer sells them.

 

Did you find out if it is a dealer only part. Mine is broken completely.

 

Can anyone confirm this or offer aftermarket sources? The crappy plastic tabs that "hold" the bottom of the cup completely snapped off on mine this week.

Yes, its true, the dealer is the only source for this part. Evidentily, Volvo has a hard time understanding that us fat and thirsty Americans love our Big Gulps and mega Javas. Mine is in pristine condition because its too little and crappy to hold anything. I didn't mean to affend any thin, fully hyrdrated members out there. "I drink enough Pepsi to float a battleship around" OK, a little test, put whiskey in place of Pepsi and name that tune.

 

Boneyard. I replaced ours that way. Half of dealer cost.

mine broke and decided that fixing that wanna be cup holder is not in my cars best interest. I mean who puts a cupholder infront of the dash instruments? delete in find something new to put in there. like an ipod or something
