Can I rent a VIDA?
Hey Guys, New to the site but not to Volvos. I am currently working on a 2007 S40 2.4i that I have done a ton too. It is a great car with very little left to do but I am chasing a wierd problem that I cannot figure out.
Current situation:
AntiSkid message and ABS light is on. Getting codes BCM-0109, BCM-0022, EPS-0080, SWM-0204, ECM-512D off my AutoPhix ES610 scanner. Cannot clear them.
I am on my 3rd steering angle sensor (used but from Erie VoVo so I trust one should have worked), I am about to install my 3rd right front wheel speed/abs sensor.
My son takes this car back to college on Saturday. I was wondering if anyone lives close that I can rent their time on a VIDA/DICE unit so I can figure out what is going on. PM me if you are willing.
SIDE QUESTION - Do you need the steering angle sensor calibrated on the S40 after replacing? I cannot find anything suggesting that.
I cannot remember when this started because this car was headed to the junk yard when I got it. I have changes ALL of the front suspension, CV axles, Brakes, Rotors, Control arms, etc. I have replaced the cylinder head, all ignition parts, MAF, Thermostat, just too much to list.
This is the last thing and if I can't get help I may go back to a dealership but worried they won't know what to do with an old rig like this.
Appreciate the help.

Yes, the steering angle sensor needs to be calibrated after replacement on the S40. Without calibration using VIDA/DICE, the AntiSkid and EPS faults won’t clear, regardless of how many sensors you try. BCM 0109 and BCM 0022 suggest either a faulty ABS sensor or an issue with the wiring or tone ring. EPS 0080 and SWM 0204 back up the need for proper steering angle sensor calibration. At this point, you need access to VIDA/DICE to move forward. While you're sorting this out, consider using an affordable rent a car service if your son needs transportation. Check the wiring and tone ring on the right front hub carefully. You're very close; calibration and diagnostics with VIDA should get it sorted.
