cannot get CEL to go out, 2000 s40
I have had the P0015 (cam bank B over-retard) code for a while as well as the P0014 (Cam bank B over -accuated). Now on top of those also the P0118 (coolant sensor). I changed the camshaft position sensor. I changed the purge valve. I changed the fuel pressure regulator. I changed a bad ignition coil. I changed the cam seleniod. I changed the coolant temperature sensor. and last I cleaned the MAF and the Air Intake Control and the Throttle body (thanks to the great instructions on this forum). After each of the changes the CEL would go out on its own for a while (a day, a week, even a month or so- that was after the ignition coil) but it keeps coming back and the 0014 and 0015 are consistent. P00118 is back too. Any other suggestions?
The car for the most part runs fine, sometimes a slight hesitation on acceleration. It did do a crazy auto acceleration about a month ago- but no problems with that since changing the coolant temp. sensor, cvvt, and cleaning MAF, air intake and throttle body.
I'm ready to put electrical tape over the CEL and forget about it (although in a month I have to get it inspected, and will need it out for that- of course, I will just erase the codes if I need to).
Thanks.

I changed the thermostat last year (probably December, so 11 months ago) when I was getting a P00128 code (I think that is the thermostat code if my memory serves me right). I could try the CVVT hub; how hard is that to do? I was also wondering about sludging, and have been considering seafoam. What entails an ECM upgrade? I have 163,000 miles, and the previous owner had the timing belt changed.
