2000 S40.
I can't open the gas cover.
Tried the emergency release in the trunk. Can't get that to budge either.
Any ideas?

You might have to try to remove the cover in the trunk and try to unscrew the motor or try to work the emergancy release while looking at it.I havent run into this yet but i will check and see if i can help you out more tomorrow when i go to work.

 

I looked at one today at work after you pull the cover back you can see the whole motor if you just need to remove it for now there is only 1 10mm screw holding the bracket and the motor in.Once you remove the screw you should be able to slide the motor enough to open the door.If you want to remove it all the way to replace it you might have to remove the power antenna.That is only 1 10mm screw too and the nut on the out side of the body panel. Let me know how you make out.
