Default Center Hub Caps/Wheel Caps

Can someone please tell me what size Center Wheel Caps does a 2000 Volvo S40 2.0 take? Internet says 60mm, I've measured and it's 57mm, yet some say it's 64mm.

Depends on the rims. https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/vol...wE#description

Those are for the 6" x 15" rim

I have 15 inch tyres. I don't know the dimensions of the rim. They are the factory rims. This is a picture of the rims.

Why not just measure the hole (corresponding with the diagram Dingus1 provided)? Seems a whole lot easier than trying to track down info on long-discontinued factory rims.

Hi buddy, I have measured and also got two other people to confirm what my measurements were & we all agree on 57mm. The diagram provided is 55mm and 60mm, which is also what the internet says, together with 64mm.

I was hoping someone owns a 2000 Volvo S40 which has center caps and would be able to assist after measuring theirs.

Here in South Africa, it is 400zar which is roughly 28 dollars for the set of 4, which is why I want to make sure I get the right size.

To add to that, do I go with 55mm or 60mm when ordering? Since the inner diameter is smaller than than the outer? 55mm is the closest to 57mm as supposed to 60mm.

Volvo only shows 1 center cap for the Gen 1 S40s: PN# 30638643 PS your wheels are called "Spectra" $10.85 at Tasca Parts (a dealer web store)

https://www.tascaparts.com/oem-parts...r-cap-30638643

I'll be doing a snow tire change on my 2000 s40 over this weekend and can snap a pic. I run 15" Spectras for the snows and Gallatica 16" for the summer - the cap fits both.

The 55mm and 60mm are measuring 2 different parts of the same cap. So like mt6127 mentioned and linked the same part i did, but cheaper, i would go with those which are 60mm. If you measured where the cap goes and got 57mm. sounds like they left 1mm clearance on either side.

I wonder if he's measuring the inside diameter of the "big hole" (outside) or the "little hole" (inside) at 57mm.

I really appreciate this buddy and would love to see a picture. I will definitely look into the part you have linked.

To note, the OEM part number here is 30821245. That should be all you need to know. I don't own a micrometer/ inside caliper to extactly if the OD is 59 or 60mm but its very close.

Thank you very much. I will use this OEM number when I contact my local Volvo dealership here in South Africa.

When I had mine some years back I also lost 2 , also in RSA not sure if stolen or just came of , I replaced all 4 with caps from some container , they were black and looked ok , cant remember what container it was but just cliped in and never came off , or stolen until I traded it in on the T5 , wish I had a pick of it , as to replace then was a lot more , If I recall was like R600 each! Which I thought was madness

I'm sorry to hear that buddy. Mine came with all 4 missing & considering that the car sat in a yard, unused since 2008 & only got put on the road in November of last year, I'm not surprised that I don't have a Center Caps. I used the OEM numbers here to contact Volvo Umhlanga and they are charging me R200 per cap & unfortunately the factory only has 4 left in stock, so my spare wheel won't have one and they have to check with Volvo Sweden to see if they can order me the 5 I require since it's a discontinued model.

Ebay and Wish has the same sizes available as the OEM but my main worry is the quality.

Avoid Wish, and for Ebay it depends on the seller as far as quality goes. If they are sending you an OE part then I wouldn't worry too much.

Thank you. Yes I'm leaning towards Ebay because I purchased an OE dipstick for my car from a seller there and they happen to have the Center Caps as well

Just wanted to share. I received the Center Caps from WISH. It is absolutely brilliant quality. Picture for reference.

Came with the steel lock ring as well.
