I was wondering if a transmission of a 2000 volvo s40 will fit a 2002. I know the transmission of the 2000 is a 4 speed and the one for the 2002 is 5 speed but I wanted to know if it will fit with the cv joints and everything and if it works with the transmission computer.

 

Good question. VIDA lists them as 2 completely different trans. AW50-42 vs AW55-50/51SN. I would guess no but do not know for sure. There are just so many differences between the 2000 and later models.
