The clock disappeared after replacing alternator
Replaced the alternator on a 2006 S40 and now the clock does not show on the dash. My wife really likes the clock. Anyone know where it went?
The alternator job was not a piece of cake but but doable with help from a pair videos on YouTube by 512kjt. The job is easier on a non turbo car, was able to skip removing the throttle and airbox, though a second pair of hands really helped when refitting the belts. Dealer wanted $800, jobber wanted $500, rebuilt part from RockAuto ran $170.

Old joke.
Pilot, writing in maintenance log. "Number two engine missing."
Next entry, by aircraft mechanic. "After short search, number two engine located on port wing."
