Default Where is the oil canister on an 05?

I'm ready to change my oil for the first time and I can't find the oil canister.

Where is it, and do I need a special tool to get it off.

Thanks.

The oil filter is under a black cover on the right side on the top side of the engine. You will have to remove the induction hose from the radiator support and the box it runs to to get to the filter. You will need a Short 36mm socket to loosen the housing.

If I understand you, then the oil filter is on the passenger side of the engine, and you can see the canister looking down at the engine without removing anything, and it's a plastic canister with a big integrated bolt head at the top. Correct?

Thanks again!

95% of the time you will have to remove the induction pipe from the front by the Radiator.
