Default Computer Flash?

My just purchased S40 (2007, 78K miles) is equipped with Back Fog lights. But when follow instructs to use them all I get is a Right Rear marker light in the main tail light cluster that gets illuminated. The back up lights do not work. Bulbs are fine looking and of course work...just not at the correct command. Q: Do I need a computer re flash? If so how much is a fair price for Mid-American Volvo Stealers, or can my trusted local shop do the flash?
Note: also getting a "stop light" Warning on start each time since I have gone and checked the bulbs in their seats.
Going to install some front fogs so I just might wait till those are wired in by me before the computer gets reset.
Thanks!

I believe only 1 rear light is supposed to illuminate. I'm just not sure which light on this model, brake light or marker light. Anyone else have fog lights that can verify?

OK all fixed, happy. My S40 Owner's Man. has the fuse map showing some blanks where my car has a fuse. I went ahead and changed a couple 5A s in the Back up light socket and trunk assessory contrl. Now my fog comes on for back up. Anything to keep me from a 200.00 garage fee.
