considering purchasing a used s40

I am considering the purchase ofa used 2004s40.Is this a good qualityyear? i have been reading different and varying thoughts on the quality. This will be my 1st used car purchase in 20 + years and also my 1st Volvo.

fun car if you take care of it. its what i have. the problem comes when you need maintenance done on it...it will be costly unless you're a mechanic...
