Crankcase Pressure
I am new to the online forums but my mechanic segested that I look into it, here I am. The other day I noticed that my dip stick keeps poping up, and I am certain that it is some back pressure but my mechanic said that it is a huge ordeal to fix and that its really expensive, but I have a thought does anyone know anything about a location that I can install a pressure relief device(i.e. a little filter or something in the line that will aleviate some of the back pressur. Sorry it is a 2001 S 40
Thanks
Thanks
Yes it is the black box mounted under the intake next to the A/C compressor.
The books I don't think anyone makes a good one yet.
There is a program you can sometimes find on E-bay called Vadis.
That was Volvo's version of a manual.
I used it when working at the Dealer.

Is there a simple way to get to that box without taking off the intake? The UK version of the Haynes manual says to clean it out at 100k miles but I can't seem to get to it.
