crankshaft sensor
thanks. Just to let you know that i have found out that there is no specific fault code associated with the crankshaft sensor it may read fault code 18 19 which is a common code for camshaft sensor and even though thats what came up on my diagnostics test (FAULTY CAMSHAFT SENSOR) it can be the crankshaft sensor and this sensor will stop a car from starting if it is faulty.
finally i've got it up and running again!!

How??
I re-istalled my old fuel pump that the fuel gauge doesent respond to and she fired up without hesitation.
Is there a lesson to be learned here, yes, only use the same part as the part that you are replacing.
The fuel pump that i got for it was out of a 2000 s40 1.8 and mine is a 2002 2.0.
Didn't think that it would'nt run as it worked my fuel gauge, but now realise that it wasn't powerful enough to send the petrol right up to the FPR.
Have to find the cause for the relays shorting now, but hopefully it wont be as big as pain than what i put myself in this time around.
