Default Cylinder 2 misfire detected and Catalyst Efficiency below threshold bank
I have a 2002 S40, I recently drove 1000 miles out of town (round trip), I recently noticed that once in a while the car seems to be missing. Check engine light did illuminate and the codes showed (P0303 Cylinder 2 misfire detected) and (P0420 Catalyst Efficiency below threshold bank) before I reset the light. Is this something simple to repair or major? Please help.

Check the spark plugs and coils and wires.

I'd go so far as to suggest replacing them.
