Default Cylinder Head Torque-2005 s40 non-turbo

Hi, I never did head and valve job on volvo before, does anyone know the torque for head, I read somewhere that should be step1 120nm, step2 260nm and then 130* it sound very high to me,
also maybe someone have the timing diagram. Thanks in advance
Car: 2005 Volvo s40 2.4 non-turbo.

I think you misread that. It's step 1 - 20nm (not 120nm), step 2 - 60nm (not 260nm) then 130*. 260nm is 190 lb/ft of torque!

Before you bolt down the cams you rotate the crank to line up the mark on the crank gear with the mark on the engine block. This puts all the pistons down in the bores so they do not strike the open valves when you bolt down/rotate the cams.

Then you line up the marks on the cam gears with the cuts on the plastic cam guard (the black plastic engine beauty cover thats over the cam gears).

Now the engine is ready to receive the timing belt. You may need to hold the cams in place as they may move from the pressure of the open valves on a cam lobe.
