I m looking for some help. My S40 has a blewn headgasket. Been sitting for 1.5 years. Has 120,000 miles on it. Is it worth fixing or just get rid of it. I dont think I can afford all the repairs. I like the car though. please help a newbie out. Thanks.

 

It depends on a couple of things. Mainly, what condition is the rest of the car? If the body and the interior is in very good shape, then I would consider fixing it. The engine will be almost new afterwards and the car will last a very long time once you put the money into it for this repair. Also, you are not going to be getting a great car for what it would cost to fix the S40.
