Have a 01 S40 and when I drive at low speed I hear a rubbery kind of squeekingnoise from the driver's side rear wheel. When the car is parked and push at the rear corner of same side I hear it also. Could it be the rear bushings or something like that?

 

could be a bushing, or could be a sticking caliper

 

How low are the rear brake pads.

 

The pads are not that low, why would they be making a kind of rattling sound if they are low?

 

The pads have squeelers on them. So when they get low they will make a noise.

 

I have this same issue. I had my rear brakes done and still have the same issue. Is there any way to tell the diff between a shock, spring, bushing, etc.?

 

How much are the rear bushings?
