Default Dropped bit into engine bay, what should I do?

Hi folks,

I have a 2001 S40 and was working on replacing the thermostat to address a Check Engine light issue (P0128). While attempting to open the cover housing the thermostat, I dropped the bit into the crevice behind it. See image below.

I wasn't able to visually see where the bit ended up. I tried to use a magnetic pen and was not able to locate it either.

I'm scared to crank the car with the bit there just in case it lands in the drive belts or other sensitive mechanical areas. What should I do?

Thanks,
Mike

Do you have a compressor? You can try to blow it out with compressed air.

And you accuse me of giving "sideways" information on here?
