I have an 02 s40 97000 miles. Check engine light comes on and off and the code reads p0101?? Also I am not sure if this is a symptom of anything but my car has been taking longer and longer to start. If I drive and stop somewhere for a few minutes and then go back to the car and start it it starts just fine....but if longer than like 10 or 15 minutes it cranks too long before it turns over. could that be a flywheel? I recently changed the plugs and coils with volvo parts but I didnt change the wires??? could that be anything to do with it? I didnt have the problem before I changed these parts.... Help please??

 

I had rough idling and stalling and P0101 a few weeks ago. Code says discrepancy between calculated and actual mass airflow. Turned out to be a vacuum leak. Don't immediately go and change the mass air flow sensor, it costs about $150. Check all your intake and vacuum hoses for leaks. What my mechanic did was basically take some carb cleaner and sprayed it on the hoses. If there's a leak in the hoses, you'll hear them suck it up and the engine will start choking and die.
