Engine Light - P0190 Code
2005 Volvo S40 2.4i with 53K miles on it.
My Check Engine light came on a week ago and went away after a day. I noticed my gas tank was close to empty when this happened. I filled it up, checked the gas cap to ensure it was on tight, and didn't drive it for a day. It didn't come on again until this morning on my way to work. My gas is also low again today...don't know if that could be it.
I am showing the error code P0190 which is either Fuel Rail Sensor Pressure OR Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit Intermittent...I don't know if those are related but those are the codes I pulled up on Google on 2 different sites.
My questions are these:
1) What could be the problem?
2) How do I fix it?
3) Cost to fix?
4) Can I do it myself?
Thanks in advance! I can't find these answers anywhere...just that people have the problem, but no actual solutions other than taking it to a mechanic...something I would like to avoid initially.

first the code that u gave is not a volvo oem code. the fuel fail pressure & the map pressure are different, u need to be sure which one is it first before u can diagnosis what the problem is/are. my suggestion is get a oem volvo scanner (vida) run a proper diagnosis on it first before u put any money in the car.
