Default Engine over heats when idling

I drive a 2005 s40 and when ever it is parked for more than 15 minutes I can notice that the car starts to over heat. I recently replaced the coolant reservoir, so I was thinking it was something else that was causing the problem, the engine fans not working.

Just wondering what everyone thinks it is and what I should do.

if your fan is not working the car will overheat when not moving (no air going through radiator). first step is to figure out why the fan is not coming on. Anything unusual about the temperature gauge? Will it come on if you switch on/off the AC? did you check fuses and check relays for connectivity? If its getting power then it could either be the coolant temp sensor or the fan motor itself.
