engine turned off while driving s40 2007

hi
when i driving somtimes the car Turns off on the way
i have Engine lamp turn on
but when i put fuel is go
what to do ?
what to check
hlep me fix it

Read the OBD codes and let us know what they are. There are many, many possible causes for an engine dying.

I doubt that message has anything to do with your engine dying.

Again, go get the OBD codes read so we can help you figure out what's wrong with your car.

I have same problem. 2009 s40 2.4i.
Replaced oil filter housing and dropped pan and cleaned pick up tube and replaced oil sensor.
No codes. Any luck??
