I have a 2001 volvo s40 and have been getting the p0130 (02 sensor circut malfunction "bank 1 sensor 1" ) code for two weeks. The check engine light came on about three times with this code. Now today the check engine light came on again and the code is p0456 (evap emission control system leake very small). Any corelation between theses two codes? Thanks for the help.

 

They are 2 different systems.

 

Any ideas on what could be causing the evap code?

 

Could be a bad Evap valve,evap canister,Bad hose.

Do you have access to a Compressor,Vaccum,pressure guage,Pressure regulator?

Well No evap code lately. A friend told me that topping off my gas tank will set that code off. So hopefully I fixed things. If I keep getting the code I will try the vaccume procedure. Thanks for the help.
