Has anyone had this problem that the rattle come from exhaust when accelerate. my car is 07 s40 2.4i thank you

i agree with you when you rev the car it sounds a bit tinny , ive had it in the s40,v50,c30,and c70. I know it does it in the 2.4 but not sure on the t5's. if its an 07 car youve got a 60,000mile or 3year warranty, just ask a member of the service team at a volvo dealership to check it for you just in case.

I have a 05 t5 and when i accelerate it makes a rattling noise too.

 

it could be that your exhaust manifold gasket is leaking or maybe even loose or it could be common wastegate rattles that come from turbo cars my s40 was doing it aswell when it was going especially in third gear at low revs when cornering.

 

I own the s40 t5 and i am having the same problem but as the car is so low i cant get under it so im stuck with this rattle for now
