I'm looking for a good scanner that will diagnose the trouble code for me and pin point (better than autozone's free scan) what the problem is. I don't care if it is for a laptop or a hand held.. whatever will give me the most for the money. I would also like it to be able to cancel codes for good as well. I have a corvette with headers (no cats or o2 sensor now) that is always giving a check engine for the o2 sensor and I want to turn it off if possible. But mostly this will be for the Volvo. I am having some codes related to the MAP sensor now and if I had a good scanner I could compare the two sensors and the MAF and see which one was causing the problem.

 

Get your self a bluetooth OBD2 dongle from ebay, $30. Use a droid phone and download "torque" app. Search for this on youtube and watch the video. This app rocks! And yes, it will clear your codes too. Beg, borrow or steal a droid and your good to go.
