I want to purchase an ODBII scanner. I was reading a post that indicated that not all ODBII scanners work on the 1998 S70. Does anyone know which brands will work and which ones won't? I want to make sure I have one that will reset the service light.

Good question and you are correct, not all will work with it.

ISO9141-2

So which one did you buy? The Scantool.net site features the Elmscan ISO USB which matches the specs you listed in your post. Would you recommend that model? Does the software that comes with the unit adequately describe Volvo-specific diagnostic error codes or do I need to purchase other software?
