Trying to find the location of the fuel filter for my s40 1.6 2006

 

Look for a cannister about 3 inches around and 4 inches long in front of the rear wheels with fuel lines in/out. If you don't see it, it may be because your model doesn't have a user serviceable fuel filter ( the filter/screen is inside the tank so there's nothing to change).
