Thank you all for any information! My 2008 S40 started draining the battery because the Navigation would come up and be stuck in cannot read disc error. There is no disc in the unit. I pulled the unit out, disconnecting it from all the cables and now the radio and CD player don't work. Is there a way to hook back up enough of the cables to get the radio working but disable the Navigation? I don't need it. I don't want to spend money fixing/replacing it. Thank you!
