funny oil
Hi
Car: Volvo 2.0 SE 1999
I have noticed a slight 'milkiness' colour in the dipstick for my oil. There is no signs of it around the oil filter cap and I have checked that the car is not losing any water, the water colour seems fine and the car is all running ok. I have done a compression test on the engine and all the cylinders seem to be fine.
I'm not sure what to think and if there is any problem here, any ideas??
Thanks
Mark

RE: funny oil
Depends on the type of driving you are doing. If it is mainly short, stop - start runs condensation will build up in the engine, especially at cold times of the year.
If this is your normal driving then give it a good long run from time to time to 'burn off' the water vapour.
