I am seeing that my 04 S40 is supposed to have a 15 Gal tank, though every time I am hitting red I go to fill up and it is NEVER going past 11.5 Gal of fuel pumped. Was there a different size fuel tank that was put into the S40 at one point? This car has been a different type of vehicle for me, lots of oddities when I got it.

your car has a proper sized 15.9 gallon capacity - on most cars "red" suggests about 2 gallons until "reserve" and reserve is about another 2 gallons until dry so your 11 Gallon fills upon hitting red seems about right.
