Headlight Upgrade

I have a 2010 S40 2.4i. Lately I have noticed that on back roads I have difficultly seeing the road ahead due to my low beams lack of light. I often find myself running my high beams longer than I would like (and longer then the oncoming cars would like as well) I have no problems on the same roads with my 2008 Passat with HID's. Can/Should I upgrade the Volvo's lights and if so with what?
