Default Help with seat power adjustment

My 2000 S40 seat adjustment is slowly losing functionality.

First, the fore/aft direction adjustment on the seat cushion started working intermittently. Then, the up/down direction adjustment for the back of the cushion started having the same issue. The seat back adjustment works fine.

Has anyone else had a similar issue? How did you fix it? I took the panel and switch apart last night and think I've traced the problem to the motor. I'd like to replace it myself when I figure out the problem.

Any help is appreciated.

Default RE: Help with seat power adjustment

Are you sure it is the motor and not the cable from the motor?

You will have to remove the seat from the car to replace the motor.
