Hi all..

I really hope ypu can help me. I'm kind a stuck here..

The engine is the B4184S - 1,8 16v Volvo S40 1999

I've checked following:

Compression is about 10 bar.
Crank and camshaft is on the marks.
Fine spark on all 4 plugs, and new spark plugs.
New crankshaft position sensor.
Fuel pressure regulator is fine.
No water in the gas.

I've tried to take of the air filter, and wires from the fuel injectors, and spray flamable gas in the intake.. And still it wont start..

In my world, its the spark timing that's wrong.

The camshaft sensor has all the right data, but i have ordered a new one,
but it is not in the country before monday.

WHAT AM I MISSING??

Sounds like you have it covered. The only thing you did not mention was the crank position sensor.

 

The crank position sensor has been replaced with a new one.
It was a bit out of data.

All the volt's in the wiring part is as it schould be..

So I really hope its the cam position sensor.

 

I've seen a weak battery cause a no start. The spark color was white instead of blue was the only clue. Car turned over fine.

 

I've charged the battery for several days. And used a booster.
