How is the '00-'04 S40 in the winter?
Hello. This is my first post on this board. I currently own a modified '00 Subaru Impreza 2.5 RS. I'm thinking of trading it in for a '00-'04 Volvo S40. I love my Impreza to death but I'm looking for something a little more upscale/prestigious. Anyhoo, back to topic...
How does the S40 perform in the winter? Do good snow tires help? I live in Central New York State and the weather can get pretty bad here at times. Snow and ice are common. My Impreza is great in the snow, especially with the AWD and my Nokia Hakkapeliittas.

The S40 is pretty good in the snow being front wheel drive.It probably won't compare to the SUBI but you will need to drive some of the S40 to make sure you like the way they drive.It might not have the kick the SUBI does either unless you find a good one.
