My wife's 2006 S40 has a flat rear tire. I took the lug nuts off and the rim wont budge. How does this rim come off? Its not stuck with corrosion because i have been banging on it fairly well. Im ready to put the spare on from the trunk but I cannot remove the flat tire. Glad Im not stuck out on the road in this situation.

We do not have the manual for the car since it was lost at the time of purchase. Any link to the car manual will be helpful as well.

It's just seised a bit, rubber mallet, wack away...

 

I had the same problem on my 05 s40. The other guy is right. Just wack away. I had to literally kick the sh*t out of it(pretty hard too and a few good tries). Then it came off.

 

I had a wheel stuck so hard on my Geo Metro that I bent the rim removing it with a sludge hammer. Not saying yours is going to be that tight, but yeah, they do get stubborn.

 

thanks guys. I kicked it with both legs like a mule and it never budged even a little. I finally gave up and drove it slowly to the dealer. didnt want to bend anything.
