Question How To Replace Welded On Tips?

hey guys, I am trying to replace my welded tips. dont want to get done at a shop because I need to keep paying car off so Ive been broke ha, with buying new tips for $20-30 each I wouldnt wanna spend more then $50-75 max for installation at a shop which Im guessing not close to price, but still would rather save that!

sooo I cant find anything on removing welded tips and my only ideas are to:
*grind off welds on the tips(left is welded 75% around, right only has two small light welds), take off tips, put on new ones and adjust tips back farther to preference also putting left tip slightly back more on muffler outlet pipe then right tip to even them out, then clamp on. Name: zxWZx.jpg

*cut off tip right behind ugly weld marks, then slide on the new tips which will be a few inches longer; since piping will be cut off inches farther back these longer tips will act as piping but still only stick out slightly, then again adjust tips to preference and clamp on. dont know if that would look fine or just as ugly as a terrible weld haha.

red line is where I would cut off at, yellow line is around where I would clamp on new tips, and yellow block is what the tip would be like.

both sound sketchy to me but are the only things that came up in my mind! please help ASAP, I want those ugly stuck out tips, crooked alignment, and terrible viewable welding outta here!!!!!!!!! thanks so much guys.

Most after market exhaust tips come with sheet metal screw, that are used to attach after drilling existing exhaust pipe after fitting. Just a thought. Could attach this way, see how they function then tack weld.
