I can't tell which belt it is that snapped
My 05' T5 s40 had a belt snap and the wheel locked up and the car was seeming to have no power steering. When I went back to turn it over again it acted as if the battery were dead. With a quick jump it started but quickly had the same symptoms as before. I had a friend look at it and he said it was the belt that turns the altenator and charges the battery. Would that be the serpentine belt?
There are two drive belts. One from the crank to the compressor and one from the compressor to the alternator.
And the timing belt. Hopefully the shreds of the drive belt didn't get sucked into the timing belt.
