Idle
any check engine fault codes? a wandering idle can be caused by a few things - dirty MAF, throttle body issues, intake or exhaust air leaks, fuel pressure regulation etc. You'd need to get some extra info to diagnose. Easiest thing to do for starters is to look for any tears in the intake air tubing or vacuum lines. A smoke test may be needed to find some of the harder to spot issues. Try spraying around the intake tubing/intercooler etc with some carb cleaner to see if it gets sucked in or bumps the idle.
That 4 cyl engine has an electric valve that controls the idle speed. I have replaced many that went bad and made the cars stall.
Here's what they look like - have no idea if that's a reasonable price.
