Default Idle Control Valve

Hi.. I am suspecting a bad Idle Control Valve, but having issues finding if my 2006 s40 2.4i has one or not..
Does anyone know if it does and where the location might be?

Thanks

With the electronic throttle. There is no throttle cable connecting the pedal to the throttle. It's all done electronically.

hmmm interesting. My RPM’s when in idle should be right at 800 but those are between 600 and 700. I wonder what could be going on there.

did you test for any intake air leaks? Its possible the ETM (electronic throttle mechanism) has some issues - you can read up by googling "Volvo ETM symptoms" - there are services which will rebuild plus you can find kits to replace the contacts which fail most often. See if the ARD Ideas web site still offers the kit.

Did smoke test came back negative.. I also got a new Throttle body, it behaves the same way as the old one.
